Harriett Cohn Mental Health Center, Clarksville, TN 37040 This exploratory study examined food intake of six 24- to 31-month-old children before and following changes in meal service in a community-sponsored day care center for low income children. A videotape of the director of the center modeling desired guidance was used in training the two paraprofessionals who ate with the children. A significant increase in the quantity of food (main course, milk, and dessert) consumed by the children was found following the training period and change in meal service.
